Our Leadership

KR2.png

Higher Heights, Inc. is a non-profit organization geared towards changing communities one life at a time. Higher Heights has been supporting communities since 2008, and now our focus is on the Dekalb County Community. It is our endeavor to support scholars who will benefit from a comprehensive program named, “King’s Rising.”

To address the need for learning gaps and ensure positive youth development, King's Rising has developed a program which adds engaging, educational activities to the typical summer camp experience.

Specifics of the program are as follows:
• King’s Rising is a 4-week intensive experience program that focuses on young Black males ages 10-14.
• Scholars will be given the opportunity to elevate their academic testing scores through a well-thought-out academic curriculum that targets their specific strengths and weaknesses.
• In addition to academics, they will also fine tune their athletic skills in the sports they are most interested in, while physically increasing their strength through workout programs provided by the area's top trainers.
• For those without athletic interests, the program offers a digital and technology STEM track, allowing program participants to one day monetize their gaming and music interests.
• We also provide life skills that range from tying a necktie to changing a spare tire to improving character education.

Three former gifted teachers; Mrs. Darlene Caffey, Mrs. Nicole Bailey and Dr. Chassity Todd will be the Math/ELA/Character Education instructors. Mrs. Eneta Todd serves as the program administrator.
